I've had those buggers invade my yard a few times in the last 25 years. Here's a trick I've used with GREAT success...Put a half piece of Juicy Fruit gum down into their runs every 5 feet or so. Within about 1 week, the moles will be gone!...From what I've read, they can't digest the gum & they die from terminal constipation. I cannot attest to the validity of this but, it has worked very well for me. A couple bucks is worth a try.

Hey Joann

If I was to take off all the snow to freeze the moles I would kill all my worms as well. I need to rebuild my worm beds and add some wire mess at the bottom of the beds to keep out the moles.
This past winter we had very little snow here as well, I needed to use shredded paper and straw in great amounts to stop the beds from freezing.
Great Idea though! thanks

Hi I hate those moles for the damage they've done to my lawn so I can sympathize. This last winter, possibly due to due to very little snow, the moles in the WASHAGO ON area froze to death. Don't know if you can keep your worm beds snow free and have the same impact
